Ten new names, and three first funded accounts

Tuesday was a smaller board than Monday on almost every count. It was also the day The Pit had its best run of new members in ten days, and the day three of you got a funded account for the first time.

The 22 countries that traded Tuesday's session, lit on the map. Latvia was on the board too, it is just too small to hold a cell on the dot grid.

Tuesday was a quieter board than Monday. 77 traders instead of 83, 100 accounts instead of 109, 22 countries instead of 23. The one number that went up was contracts, 1,204 against 1,189, and that is only because a handful of larger funded accounts were working.

The session ran the full clock. The first trade closed at 00:03 Chicago time out of the United States on micro Nasdaq, and the last one closed at 23:56 from Kenya on the same product. The only hour with nothing in it was 16:00, which is the daily exchange halt. The two busiest hours sat either side of the cash open, 91 trades in the 08:00 hour and 92 in the 09:00. Micro Nasdaq carried 365 of the 564 trades on its own, micro gold took 77 and micro S&P 52.

But the story of Tuesday was not on the board, it was in the room. Ten people joined The Pit while the session ran, double Monday's five and the strongest day since 25 July. They came in from India, Nigeria, Algeria, Somalia, Pakistan, South Africa and, at 19:22 Chicago time, Peru. That last one matters: The Pit now has exactly one member from Peru, and yesterday is the day we got them. None of the ten arrived on an influencer invite or an affiliate link, and there were no giveaway entries in the window at all. They just turned up.

Three sessions worth reading twice

Russell L.🇺🇸@Aviator04
First funded account

Cleared a Track $2,500 evaluation on its fifth trading day, and at 12:38 Chicago time his first funded account went live. He then went straight back to it and traded twice more before the close. 20 trades across the day, and every single one of them was one micro Nasdaq contract. Not a clip bigger than that, all day, on either account.

Benjamin S.🇺🇸@yieldriot
+$265.00

Four trades on micro gold between 21:40 and 22:14 Chicago time. One contract each, all four green, and that was enough to clear the $150 profit target on a Track $2,500 on his first trading day on the account. Two more trading days to go before the evaluation is finished, but the money part is done.

Tearn O.🇰🇪@teargalore
+$95.00

Eight trades on a Flex $5,000, all single micro Nasdaq contracts, seven of them green. He opened at 09:07 in the morning, came back for two more late in the evening, and his 23:56 close was the last trade of the entire session. Kenya turned the lights off.

What crossed

  • Five evaluations were approved during the session, from traders in Canada, India, the United States, Colombia and Nigeria, all of them on Track $2,500.
  • Five funded accounts went live in the same window, and three of those were the trader's first ever. Russell L.🇺🇸@Aviator04 was one of them, and so was Shubham K.🇮🇳@shubham8585, who took a single patient micro gold trade on the new account and held it most of the afternoon.
  • The other two funded accounts went to traders collecting their fifth and their sixth. 37 of the 100 accounts on the board yesterday were already funded ones.

The Pit reached 3,291

Ten new members joined during the session, the best day in ten, and the daily run for the last ten sessions goes 3, 9, 9, 5, 3, 7, 1, 3, 5, 10. The room is now 3,291 people across 112 countries, with 297 of them active in the last week and 80 active during Tuesday's session itself.

Here is the number we like most: all 77 traders who took a trade yesterday are already members. Not most of them, all of them. Paddock Live had a busy day behind it too, with 28 go-live notices during the session. If you are trading the open on your own with nothing else on screen, you are doing it the hard way.

381 of yesterday's 564 trades were a single contract. 481 of them were one or two. That is the shape of a normal day here, and it is worth looking at next to Russell L.🇺🇸@Aviator04's twenty single-contract trades and Tearn O.🇰🇪@teargalore's eight. Nobody on this page needed size. Go and have a small, uneventful session.
