39 of the accounts on the board were funded

Monday was a quiet session by volume, lighter than the Thursday before it on every count. It was also the one where more than a third of the accounts trading were funded ones.

The 23 countries that traded Monday's session, lit on the map. Latvia was on the board too, it is just too small to hold a cell on the dot grid.

Monday was small. 83 traders, 567 trades, 109 accounts, 1,189 contracts. Every one of those numbers is below the Thursday before it, and the map still held 23 countries.

The interesting part was not how much trading happened, it was who was doing it. 39 of the 109 accounts on the board were funded accounts, held by 36 different traders across 14 countries. Not evaluations working towards a target: funded accounts, sitting on real payout minimums, six of which have already been through a payout at least once. They accounted for 228 of the session's trades and 586 of its contracts, so a board that was 36% funded by account count was closer to half funded by size.

The session ran end to end. The first trade closed at 00:02 Chicago time out of Brazil on micro gold, and the last one closed at 23:57 from the United States on micro Nasdaq. The only hour with nothing in it was 16:00, which is the daily exchange halt. The busiest was 08:00, right around the cash open, with 93 trades from 20 people. Micro Nasdaq carried 372 of the 567 trades on its own, micro Dow took 70 and micro gold 65.

And the size stayed small. 291 trades were a single contract, 167 were two, and the whole session averaged 2.1 contracts a trade. On a day when more than a third of the accounts could have been swinging real size, 458 of 567 trades were one or two lots.

Three sessions worth reading twice

Thomas W.🇰🇪@Thomas
+$159.50

Took 17 trades on a Flex $5,000 and every single one of them was one micro Nasdaq contract. Not a single clip bigger than that, all day. Fourteen of the trades ran between 06:25 and 08:36 Chicago time and three more came late in the evening, and the total time he spent holding anything was about 44 minutes. Fifteen of the seventeen came back green. It is the only account he has ever opened with us, running since 22 July.

Daniel A.🇰🇪@Anderson
+$132.00

Worked the same product on the same morning and got there a different way: longer holds, a maximum of two contracts, thirteen trades with eleven green. His best trade was +$41.50, which is the number that matters here, because it means no single trade was carrying the day. Also his only account, opened the same week as Thomas W.🇰🇪@Thomas.

Sanjai S.🇮🇳@sanjai
Target cleared

Opened a Track $2,500 on Monday morning and cleared its $150 profit target the same day, on four micro gold trades, closing at $2,674. The minimum trading days still have to land before it counts, so this is the first half of the job. The fast half.

What moved

  • Sanjai S.🇮🇳@sanjai cleared a Track $2,500 profit target in his first session on the account, on four trades.
  • Two accounts crossed a profit target in the session in total. The second has been running since last week, on the same Track $2,500 product.
  • Six of the 39 funded accounts that traded yesterday have already been through a payout. That is the part of the board that is done proving anything.

The Pit passed 3,260

Five new members joined during the session, from India, Nigeria, Pakistan and the United States. None of them came in on an influencer invite or an affiliate link, which is rarer than it sounds. The Pit is at 3,260 members now, up twelve since Thursday.

82 of the 83 traders who took a trade on Monday are already in there. And Paddock Live had a busy day behind the scenes: 17 different streams went live during the session. If you are trading the open on your own with nothing else on screen, you are doing it the hard way.

The useful thing in a day like Monday is what it says about the boring middle of this job. Thomas W.🇰🇪@Thomas did not need size and Daniel A.🇰🇪@Anderson did not need speed. Neither of them had a trade that made or broke the day, which is exactly why both days ended green. Go and have a small, uneventful session.
