The smallest hand on the board
Fifty-six traders across fifteen countries put up 360 trades on Friday. The one we keep coming back to traded a $100,000 account and never touched more than two micro contracts.
Friday was a lighter, cleaner session than Thursday, and it was all the better for it.
Fifty-six of you were live across fifteen countries, 360 trades and 915 contracts between you. Nigeria sent the biggest room with fifteen traders, India close behind with thirteen, and the United States with eleven. After that a long tail reached the UK, Kenya, Canada, Brazil, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Tanzania, Lebanon, Algeria, the UAE, Ethiopia and Colombia. Micro Nasdaq and micro gold did most of the work, the way they usually do.
But the number we kept thinking about was two. As in two contracts, the most Hart P.๐บ๐ธ@hartpitcher ever put on a $100,000 account all day. On a day with plenty of big swings elsewhere, the session's best story was the trader who refused to take one.
The disciplined hands
Traded a $100,000 Track account and never sized past two micro contracts, mostly just one. Eighteen trades, all micro Nasdaq. The worst of them cost him $34.50, the best made him $109.50, and no single trade carried the day. He ground it out. His account lets him hold sixty contracts. He used two. Small when he was wrong, patient when he was right.
Went a perfect three for three on his $5,000 Flex account, all micro Nasdaq, in and out inside five minutes each time. Three decisions, three greens, nothing forced. A clean, small, finished session.
Kept it just as tidy on the $2,500 account: three one-lot micro gold trades, three greens, no red on the card at all. A calm start, exactly the kind we like to see on a fresh evaluation.
Put in the longest grind of the small accounts, eight one-lot micro Nasdaq trades, five of them green, and his worst trade cost him $40.50. A modest number at the end of it, but eight patient one-lot decisions is exactly the habit that pays later.
Where the room was, Friday's session
Tagged a target
- Murtala M.๐ณ๐ฌ@murrykhan opened a fresh $2,500 account and tagged its 5% profit target the same day, on a single micro gold trade. That is the evaluation's profit line cleared, not a funded account yet (there are still minimum trading days to serve), but it is a good first day at the office.
The Pit kept filling up
There was no drop this time, no giveaway to explain it, and the Pit still grew. Ninety-seven new traders joined during Friday's session alone, from twenty-one countries, most of them from India and Nigeria. That puts the community at 2,453 members, with 1,004 of you active in the last week and 806 messages traded between you.
Quiet weeks are when the room usually gets bigger. This was one of those.
Fifteen countries, fifty-six traders, and the figure we will remember is $34.50. That was the worst trade Hart P.๐บ๐ธ@hartpitcher took all day, on the biggest account in the room, on the day he finished green. Small size, small mistakes, patience in between.
See you in the Pit.
